Soundscape Ruang Besalen: Pengaruh Lingkungan Akustik dalam Proses Pembuatan Gamelan Penclon
Abstract
Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi soundscape ruang besalen dalam pembuatan gamelan Penclon, alat musik tradisional Indonesia. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana suara-suara yang dihasilkan selama proses pembuatan gamelan, serta interaksi antara pembuat dan lingkungan, mempengaruhi karakteristik akhir gamelan Penclon. Penelitian dilakukan di bengkel pembuatan gamelan Besalen Purbalaras daerah Cisaranten, Kota Bandung. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa soundscape ruang besalen berperan penting dalam menentukan kualitas suara gamelan dan mencerminkan tradisi serta praktik budaya lokal. Temuan ini menawarkan wawasan baru mengenai hubungan antara lingkungan akustik dan proses pembuatan gamelan, serta kontribusinya terhadap pelestarian warisan budaya
